Windham Hill Records had great success cultivating its sound in the 1970s and ’80s and became synonymous with the “new age” category of music. But by the early ’90s, the label was less cohesive. After extensive diagnostic research we worked with the late graphic designer Michael Cronan to develop a unique new logo and packaging system that would provide latitude for a range of highly individual artists, while creating a much stronger sense of Windham Hill identity. This bold move led to powerful brand presence in the retail environment and sales improved significantly. Logo and CD cover samples are below.
