Verve was routinely ranked the #1 jazz record label and had a deep roster of over 50 world-class stars. There was also an ambitious schedule of reissues, releasing vintage albums with new packaging and bonus material. We devised the “Pure Verve” campaign which efficiently featured as many as four titles per ad and created a bold, consistent brand image. The “half-page spreads” were updated with new releases each month and this widely acclaimed series ran for years in the major jazz publications.
