Two major record companies, Verve and GRP, merged to form Verve Music Group in 1998. Legendary labels such as Impulse! and Blue Thumb were included, making VMG the largest company ever to focus on jazz, blues and world music. We constructed a massive new website at vervemusicgroup.com to highlight each of the labels, genres, artists and releases. In collaboration with the NYU Steinhardt School, we also built a comprehensive “Jazz Ed” section of the site. After much evolution, today’s version can be viewed here.
